Photo de stock - PRODUCTION - 24 January 2023, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Wismar: An iron-wheeled two-wheeler built around 1870 by master locksmith Hans Hevicke from Schwerin is on display in the new permanent exhibition of more than 50 historic two-wheelers at the Phantechnikum. The rare bike had been lost for decades and only reappeared a few years ago in the backyard of a fashion house. The Museum of Technology will open a focus on the technical and cultural history of the bicycle on Jan. 25, 2023, as an extension of its permanent exhibition. The bicycles from the collection of a collector from Wismar illustrate milestones of bicycle genesis and connect them with regional historical stories about cycling.
