After about four years of construction, the Halle Planetarium is opened within the walls of the historic gasometer with a festive program. The centerpiece is the starry hall with a diameter of twelve meters, a height of eight meters and space for 110 people. The technical equipment allows an impressive 360-degree panoramic view of the world of the stars. The money for the construction costs of 21 million euros came exclusively from the flood relief fund of the federal and state governments.
