The Kgalagadi Transfrontier National Park was established in 1999 by merging the South African Kalahari Gemsbok National Park and the Gemsbok National Park in Botswana and is a transboundary nature reserve in the Kalahariwssste with an area of approximately 38,000 square kilometers. The park is well known for the lions, which are often found there, but also for numerous other wildlife that live here.
