Photo de stock - People look for and read books at the first ever free beach library opened in Bulgaria at the Black Sea resort of Albena. On 20 July 2014, the first beach library in the European Union and the third worldwide opened, with over 2,500 volumes on its shelves in more than 10 languages. The library is completely free. The titles are carefully selected for all tastes - world classics, thrillers, mysteries, romance and memoirs. The tourists will take a book for free without a library card. In exchange, users are encouraged to leave a book of their own to diversify the collection. Two more beach libraries have now opened in Albena, making it the first ever resort to have three.
