Annette Mills, the dancer who introduced the Charleston to Great Britain, and the composer of 'Boomps-a-daisy', has been in hospital for a year following a serious motor accident which occurred while she was driving between two R.A.F. stations to entertain the airmen. She suffered eight fractures, and is still dependent upon crutches and a sling. On November 4th, the day after this broadcast, she returns to hospital for what she hopes will be her final operation.
