Photo de stock - Males mountain goats (Capra pyrenaica hispanica) in the Sierra Javalambre natural park. Teruel. The Sierra Javalambre Natural Park in Teruel, Spain, is the perfect location to spot wild mountain goats (Capra pyrenaica hispanica). These animals inhabit the park thanks to the protection of their habitat and their food sources like shrubs, herbs, and lichens. The Sangra-Javalambre massif is ideal for them due to its well-structured vegetation and steep relief. They are very well adapted to their environment and can be spotted among the cliffs, meadows and in different levels of snow patches during the winter. Mountain goats also depend on both the variety of vegetation that grows in the park and the abundance of springs and streamlets, which offer them a permanent source of fresh water. Several human activities, such as fencing, allow the maintenance of the park and its rich biodiversity, which is why this species is often seen in the Sierra Javalambre.
