Photo de stock - DEPOLARIZATION
Depolarization.
Phospholipidic membrane with NA+ and K+ ion channels. In the first NA+ channel, NA+ ions penetrate the axon and the K+ ions already present on the interior of the axon are released to the exterior. The second channel (K+ ion channel) is blocked, preventing the K+ ions from moving to the exterior. Reduction of outgoing flow = depolarization. The third channel (K+ ion channel) then opens, releasing K+ ions to the exterior.
