'Rita Ora knows all about mentoring on TV shows but before she takes up her new job on X Factor the pop star paid a visit to the students at ELAM (East London Arts and Music) college in Stratford. East London. Rita spent the afternoon giving a talk to students aged between 16-19 before then going to the different studios to watch the students sing and play original songs they had written. She offered advice to the performers and at one point was moved by a female student's voice that she was speechless. Rita said afterwards ""It was so inspiring seeing such young talented students who are all so passionate about music. The fact that they're already writing, composing and producing their own music shows how determined they are. It's so competitive in the music industry now that having an arts academy like ELAM is so great. I saw so many incredibly talented, passionate students there, I jokingly said they should come to the X Factor auditions"" Charlie Kennard, Principal, ELAM: It was a pleasure to host Rita at ELAM, we have lot's of industry professionals visit us but Rita's enthusiasm, humility and passion really made her stand out. The students were all clearly motivated to go on and work hard in order to achieve their goals after meeting Rita.
