Photo de stock - Strip of bobbin lace with star in drop-shaped shell, Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace. The strip has a strongly curved shape and the short sides are put together invisibly. It forms a circle when it is laid flat. The repetitive pattern consists of a drop-shaped shell formed from the top of the strip by two straight-down bands of braided grille, which diverge further and further together at the bottom. They then move into the drop to form a circle in the center. In the center is a star with eight points, made with painted braids. At the top of the strip the space between the drops is filled by such a circle with a smaller star with six points. The top or inside of the strip is finished straight. The scallop edge with semicircular scallops stems from the drop-shaped motif and is finished with small lobes made with painted pigtails., anonymous, Italy, c. 1930, linen (material), bobbin lace, l 242 cm × w 19 cm ×, 12 cm
