Leather glove, loose caps decorated with black satin ribbon embroidered with a floral pattern in black silk. Model: Long, narrow fingers with stitching running through the top of the hand to create the illusion of even longer fingers. The thumb is partially loose. Sewn with green silk. The loose caps are put on the glove with rough stitches of yellow silk. These covers are reinforced with three layers of gray paper and originally lined with black satin that has largely decayed. Along the incisions, the caps are trimmed with long-haired black silk bullion (largely decayed), which covers fairly coarse stitches of black silk. The hand is unlined. Decoration: the outside of the glove appears to be colored ocher yellow with a paste-like paint. The caps are decorated with black satin tape, embroidered with black silk with the stitches through the leather and the paper. The leaf and flower motif is made up of volutes in cord stitch over an applied thread of black silk, 'ivy' leaves in flat stitch and balls in the button stitch., anonymous, Nederlanden, c. 1600 - c. 1625, geheel, kappen, passement, band, borduurwerk, voering, embroidering, l 35 cm l 14 cm × w 17 cm
