Stock Photo - 29 August 2018, Germany, Woerlitz: Woerlitz Castle stands in the midst of dry meadows in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Garden Kingdom Dessau-Woerlitz, photographed with a drone. Despite its location near the Elbe, the garden kingdom is also suffering from the long drought. Not only the lawns have dried up, but also the first trees are damaged. Already in July the gondola rides on the canals had to be stopped due to the low water level. Trips are only possible on the lake. In the 142 square kilometre garden kingdom there are castles of various architecture, parks with exotic trees and plants. Small canals, bridges, temples and an artificial volcano as a replica of Vesuvius adorn the area between Dessau-Rosslau and Wittenberg.
