Stock Photo - 29 October 2019, Thuringia, Eisenberg: A patient trains with the help of Ringo, a robot, walking on a corridor in the hospital Waldkliniken Eisenberg. In a three-year research project, the use of robots for gait exercises with patients after hip surgery was developed and tested. The robot works autonomously and detects incorrect postures as the patient walks, corrects them and praises progress. The study showed that patients who train together with the robot can walk faster than those who train alone. According to the participants, the project is unique in Germany and internationally in medical robotics research. Photo: Jan Woitas/dpa-Zentralbild/ZB. - Eisenberg/Thuringia/Germany
