Stock Photo - The parish church of Maqueda is that of Santa María de los Alcázares, it was built in the 15th century inside the walled enclosure and supported by the Califal Gate, it was built inside the premises of the old fortress. The building consists of three naves separated by arches, with multiple reforms and additions. The bell tower is from a later time it was built in 1908.
