In 1961 they were selected by the State Department to representr the United States in a tour of the Orient. demonstrating their swimming skills in Japan, Korea, Taiwan the Philippines, Guam, Okinawa and Hawaii. Nearly 200 young swimmers from across the nation will take part in the Contest for solo, duet and team acts. The meet is sponsored by the St. Petersburg Recreation Department Aquatic Club and the winners will compete on the Olympics in Mexico in 1968.
