Glover, P.P.I.A.A.S., Mi.O.E., Struct.E., a past president of the Association and pioneer of the Passenveyor described in the 2nd. Traffic Report published by the Incorporated Association of Architects disclosed that negotiations are taking place between the Passenveyor or Company and authorities concerned for a site near Staines to set up a complete loop for interested parties from all over the world to ride in and full appreciate the advantages contained in a system which if incorporated in city centres would solve the traffic congestion which threatens London and large cities all over the world. Already many applications for details have been received from places as far afield as Australian and it is hoped that once the working show-piece is installed that the local authorities will land every assistance to ensure the suo--ss of the venture. The passenveyor is as comfortable as a bus and presents an extremely economical means of transport which can be put into use within a comparitively short time. The I.A.A.S, report which made a thorough analysis and critical study of 36 different systems in an effort to cast light on the increasing menace of strangulation of city centres, showed without doubt the tremendous possibilities of the passenveyor. A year later, the various technical problems arising from this Non-Stop system having been overcome, the final product promises to be a practical reality. The Board of The Passenveyor Company which is made up of very well known personalities from various fields of business intends to prove that the Passenveyor off-the-Road-system presents the best solution to the traffic problem in congested areas. Three points which end support to this, is the no queueing outcome of the system, the fact that fares need to be no more that 1d, per mile as opposed to the 5d. per mile of the present bus service, and the face that it would accommodate nearly half of London's commuting public. Today, Mr. Peter Walker, Shadow Minister of Transport visited Mr. Glover's premises to see for himself the complete up-to-date model of the Passenveyor.
