Stock Photo - Aug. 08, 1979 - Reprieve for the three Indian Brothers: Home office Minister Timothy Raison as deferred the deportation for three days of the three sons of Mrs. Manu Patel, back to India. The Home Office had ordered the boys, Diptesh, 10, Sanjesh, 13, and Jayesh 16, to be at Heathrow to catch a 4 p.m. flight to Bombay. Officials had said the boys must leave because Mrs. Patel did not go through the proper procedure to bring them to Britain despite advice to do so. The reprieve was given as it is understood that money is being raised to enable Mrs. Patel to return to India with her three sons in order that proper entry certificate procedure should be observed. Photo shows Mrs. Patel with her three sons being consoled by a neighbour Mrs. Whitehouse outside her home in Gillingham, Kent today.
