As an alternative to the colourful plastic drinking straws, special rye is harvested on an area of two hectares near Lübeck and drinking straws are made from it. For many years Strohmi GmbH has been supplying these sustainable straws to hotels, upscale bars and restaurants as well as private individuals all over the world.
