Stock Photo - 01 October 2020, Saxony, Wermsdorf: Cora Lechner stands at the entrance to her bison enclosure and the farm shop in Wermsdorf. At the beginning of the year the young woman took over a herd of 60 bison, which her father founded in 2003. Together with her life partner Johannes Boos, she looks after the breeding and ecological keeping of the wild cattle, which is widespread in North America. They find fresh pasture grass on 40 hectares and get organic hay as supplementary feed. The meat of the herbivores, which weigh up to 900 kilograms, is offered as fresh meat and bison sausage specialities. Photo: Waltraud Grubitzsch/dpa-Zentralbild/ZB. - Wermsdorf/Saxony/Germany
