On the same day at this press conference the winning design was presented by BHBVT Gesellschaft von Architekte mbH for the conversion of the Lichtspieltheater into the new location for the Brandenburg State Museum of Modern Art (BLMK). The Lichtspieltheater was built at the beginning of the 20th century as the first cinema in the city of Frankfurt (Oder). The former cinema is to be developed into the Frankfurt location of the Brandenburg State Museum of Modern Art in the coming years.
