In Brandenburg, winter rapeseed is currently cultivated on 98,900 hectares. Following a sharp decline in the cultivation of rapeseed in recent years, it is now on the rise again. The plant produces valuable food and animal feed. One hectare of rapeseed yields about 1,600 kilograms of rapeseed oil. That is the equivalent of 1,740 bottles of cooking oil.
