The house, which he lived in both with his partner, the writer Elsa Asenijeff, and later with his wife Gertrud Bock, who was almost 40 years younger, is part of an ensemble consisting of a residential house, ""Radierstübchen"" and a burial place in the vineyard landscape near Naumburg. The artist died on 04.July 1920 and was buried at his own request in his vineyard only a few metres away on 08.July 1920. The house now houses a permanent exhibition on Klinger's life and work.
