Anyone going out into the fresh air in Baden-Württemberg on Sunday should be prepared for a storm. The German Weather Service (DWD) is expecting wind speeds of at least 80 kilometers per hour in the lowlands throughout the state. In the mountains of the Swabian Alb or the Black Forest, heavy squalls or even hurricane-force gusts of up to 110 km/h could develop from an altitude of 1000 meters. Wherever there are many trees - for example in parks, forests or cemeteries - beware of falling branches or falling trees, according to a DWD spokesperson.
