Stock Photo - 05 October 2021, Saxony, Leipzig: University organist Daniel Beilschmidt plays on the completed swallow's nest organ in Leipzig's Paulinum. Swallow's nest organs do not stand on the floor or a gallery, but hang from the wall at a great height. The organist sits here at the console at a height of seven and a half metres. The instrument, which cost a good 650,000 euros, closes a stylistic gap in the East German organ landscape. The Paulinum is the successor building to the University Church, which was blown up in 1968. It combines an assembly hall and a prayer room under its roof.
