Stock Photo - 07 December 2021, Berlin: The two scientists from Germany, Nobel Laureate in Physics Klaus Hasselmann (r) and Nobel Laureate in Chemistry Benjamin List, pose with their Nobel Prizes during the Nobel Symposium at the Swedish Embassy. It had been announced in October 2021 that Hasselmann of the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology in Hamburg would receive the Nobel Prize in Physics for models of the Earth's climate. List from the Max Planck Institute for Coal Research in Mülheim an der Ruhr will receive the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for methods to accelerate chemical reactions. Both share their prizes with other researchers. The prizes to the two Germans will be presented in Berlin for corona reasons and not in Stockholm as usual.
