Stock Photo - 07 December 2022, Brandenburg, Potsdam: Farmer Markus Schüler harvests Brussels sprouts in a field from the Florahof organic vegetable farm in Bornim, which are in particularly high demand now in the run-up to Christmas. 30 to 40 kilograms of Brussels sprouts are currently sold per week. The sprouts are grown according to strict organic farming standards without pesticides or artificial fertilizers. The family farm in the north of Potsdam grows vegetables and fruit on about nine hectares. The fresh produce is sold in the farm store in Florastrasse, at markets and as a subscription box.
