The animals live in the adjacent forests and the marshy areas of the Bäketal. Churned up green strips and destroyed front gardens are constant evidence of the presence of the defiant wild animals, which also roam the town at night in search of food. Since it is a residential area, hunting is not possible for safety reasons. It is also disputed whether the population can be contained by hunting at all, as wild boars react with increased procreation rates when the social structure is disturbed.
