Stock Photo - 07 September 2018, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Stralsund: The sailing ship ""Gorch Fock I"" is located in the city harbour (aerial view with drone). The training ship built for the Reichsmarine was launched in Hamburg in 1933 and went to the Soviet Union after the war as a reparation payment. In 2003 the association ""Tall Ship Friends"" acquired the ship from the Ukraine and had it brought to Stralsund. The ""Gorch Fock I"" should not be confused with the German Navy's training ship ""Gorch Fock"" built in 1958. The Hanseatic city of Stralsund plans to take over the historic ship.
