Stock Photo - 08 April 2022, Saxony-Anhalt, Trüben: Pastor Lutz-Michael Sylvester lifts a wooden cross weighing around 80 kilograms in front of the Easter Church, a symbol of Jesus' crucifixion and his journey with the cross to his place of execution. The Romanesque Easter Church, dating from 1170, is part of three other themed churches in the foothills, a Christmas Church, a Hymnal Church and a Bible Church, and is intended to bring new visitors to the old unused places of worship. The Communion Church is designed as an art object and displays, in addition to the wooden cross, a communion image in a former mortuary, the entry of Jesus into Jerusalem as an installation and his burial place. The theme churches are intended to invite visitors to historical discoveries, spiritual encounters and space for inner contemplation.
