Emergency exercises were held in the delivery room of the clinic to train the interaction of the different medical disciplines. The exercises are carried out by the Tübingen Patient Safety and Simulation Centre (Tüpass) and take place with extras and dolls. Scenarios include heavy bleeding, a husband's collapse or a newborn's bad heartbeat. The Klinikum Magdeburg employs 25 midwives in the delivery room. Around 1,500 children are born there every year.
