Stock Photo - 09 April 2021, Berlin: A path beneath the remains of a disused crane runway in Berlin-Oberschöneweide leads from Wilhelminenhofstraße to a town square with a riverside promenade. In a few months, work is to begin on the restoration and revitalization of the listed site by 2025. Four new buildings are also to be added. The quarter includes commercial uses such as offices, restaurants and studios and, to the east, the BaseCamp Campus area. This comprises a young and urban hostel and accommodation offer. The industrial area is an important monument to Berlin industry and is considered the largest contiguous industrial monument in Europe.
