Stock Photo - 09 April 2021, Berlin: The Rathenau Halls in the industrial area in Oberschöneweide. They are named after AEG founder Emil Rathenau. In a few months' time, work is to begin on the restoration and revitalisation of the listed site by 2025. Four new buildings are also to be added. The quarter includes commercial uses such as offices, restaurants and studios and, to the east, the BaseCamp Campus area. This comprises a young and urban hostel and accommodation offer. The industrial area is an important monument to Berlin industry and is considered the largest contiguous industrial monument in Europe. Schöneweide became one of the largest locations of Berlin's electrical industry from 1895 onwards. Photo: Jens Kalaene/dpa-Zentralbild/ZB. - Berlin/Berlin/Germany
