Stock Photo - 09 July 2021, Saxony-Anhalt, Altenbrak: Daniel Schwank from the Zordel trout farm holds a salmon trout in his hands. This trout species is mainly bred for stocking fishing waters. Around 130 tons of rainbow trout and salmon trout grow each year in 42 breeding ponds at the facility, which has a constant supply of fresh water from the Bode River in the Harz Mountains. With computer-controlled water values, the animals reach their weight of 300 to 400 grams under constant living conditions. The special feature of the fish farm is the constant supply of fresh water. Trout have been bred in the facility since 1978. Photo: Matthias Bein/dpa-Zentralbild/ZB. - Altenbrak/Saxony-Anhalt/Germany
