Stock Photo - 09 October 2019, Saxony-Anhalt, Quedlinburg: The skeleton of a man lies in the remains of the monastery church St. Mary on the Münzenberg in a head niche grave which was carved directly into the rock. The tomb dates from the 11th to the 12th century. A metal tip had been found in the chest during the excavations. Above the tomb was once the Marienkirche which was built from 986. After the devastation in 1525, poor and dispossessed people built houses in and over the walls of the church. Today the village is a station of the ""Romanesque Street"".
