Scientists in the research area ""Lightweight Construction"" at the Institute of Structural Lightweight Design at Chemnitz University of Technology have been researching automated additive manufacturing technologies for five years. Recently, they presented the world's first 3D-printed concrete Schwibbogen. The Schwibbögen are 120 centimeters wide, 60 centimeters high and weigh 14 kilograms. They serve as reference objects in the development of innovative technologies for the efficient production of lightweight concrete elements with fiber reinforcement.
