The 25th Thuringian Montgolfiade, the German Hot Air Ballooning Championship, takes place for the first time in Heldburg. Of the 58 hot air balloons registered, 31 will take part in the competition. The organizer is the Ballonsportclub Thüringen. The Montgolfiade offers a hiking program on the weekeine together with the tourism association Coburg-Rennsteig.
