Since January 9, Franziska Hauser has been the 30th castle writer at Beeskow Castle. The Berlin author will now live and work here for five months. Last September, a jury had selected her from a total of 55 applicants. Franziska Hauser, born in Berlin Pankow in 1975, is an author and photographer. She studied stage design and free art at the Berlin Weißensee School of Art and photography with Arno Fischer at the Ostkreuzschule. In 2015, her debut novel ""Sommerdreieck"" was published by Rowohlt Verlag, and in spring 2018 her second novel ""Die Gewitterschwimmerin"" was published by Eichborn Verlag and nominated for the German Book Prize.
