His love for the baroque castle Groß Rietz (Oder-Spree) began ten years ago, when the manor house, which was built around 1700 and is a listed building, was still a large construction site. The Brandenburgische Schlösser GmbH had taken over the property with its pink and white façade from the municipality in the mid-1990s to save it from further decay. More than five million euros flowed into the restoration in accordance with the preservation order. At the same time, a new user was sought for the 1,100 square meters.
