Stock Photo - 13 July 2021, Brandenburg, Henzendorf: Dorothee Schmidt-Breitung, restorer, and Dirk Zacharias, restorer, clean the carved and painted characters and figures on a boulder in the grounds of the Henzendorf boulder park. The erratic block park with its approximately 100 hewn and painted erratic blocks was created in 1997. For more than 20 years, moss and lichen have been growing on the stones and the colours have been gradually fading. In 2020, 18 stones were restored. Currently, under the direction of restorer Dorothee Schmidt-Breitung, another 24 stones are being cleaned of biogenic growth and the colors are being renewed. The work is financed by donations from the Ostdeutsche Sparkassenstiftung and the Landschaftspflegeverband Naturpark Schlaubetal - Gubener Heide - Oder Neiße e.V.. The park is located about 15 kilometres south of Eisenhüttenstadt. In terms of content, the designed stones represent an aspect of the history of the last 2000 years. The artists were inspired by historical works of art from various epochs and cultures. Photo: Patrick Pleul/dpa-Zentralbild/ZB. - Henzendorf/Brandenburg/Germany
