Stock Photo - 14 April 2020, Brandenburg, Potsdam: Ute von Koerber, clinic clown ""Vitamins"" from the Potsdam association ""Lachen hilft"" (Laughter helps), is standing in front of a virtual clown consultation in her apartment. As a clinic clown, she experiences people in hospitals, care and medical facilities directly in their room in their situation. All this is missing now and the people have to be experienced virtually, the 54-year-old says. Through the virtual clown consultation hour, children can be visited directly at their bedside. She is grateful that this is how it works, but direct contact cannot be replaced and is totally missing. According to von Koerber, the situation is very threatening to her existence, regular income is falling away despite the virtual clown consultation. She is very happy about the cooperation, for example, that local nurses are taking care of switching on the computer for the children.
