Stock Photo - 14 January 2020, Saxony-Anhalt, Magdeburg: View of the instrument displays in the cockpit of the renovated Tupolew 134, the aircraft of the former GDR airline ""INTERFLUG"" has been at Magdeburg airfield since 2004 and was in a desolate state at the last inspection. With the financial help of the Job Center and the state capital, employees of the Gise Employment Promotion Agency were able to save the ""TU 134"" from final decay. The machine got a completely new paint job on the outside and inside. The jet of Russian design from 1968 was taken out of service in 1985 after a hard landing in Berlin-Schönefeld and almost 20,000 flying hours. Since 1987 the plane was located in Oschersleben and was used as a restaurant for several years. It was then transported to Magdeburg by land. According to the Gise Employment Promotion Agency, the renovation work on Tupolev 134 will be completed on 31 January 2020.
