Stock Photo - 14 September 2022, Berlin: The plaintiff Gabrielle L. comes to the Berlin Regional Court for a hearing where she claims compensation for not being allowed to stay naked on a water playground. The plaintiff is seeking compensation under the anti-discrimination law (LADG) of the state of Berlin. She had visited the water playground district Treptow-Köpenick in June 2021. Because of her unclothed upper body, she was asked first by security guards, then by the police, to cover her chest or leave the premises. The woman feels that her rights were violated by the actions of the security guards and the police towards her on that day, as well as by the actions of the authorities who subsequently dealt with the case.
