Archaeologists have discovered valuable, predominantly Scandinavian silver treasures from the late 10th century, in a field on the German island of Ruegen. In an area of around 400 square metres near the municipality of Schaprode, they recovered jewellery and around 500 - 600 coins, of which more than 100 coins date back to the reign of Danish king Harald ""Bluetooth"" (910-987).
