Stock Photo - 15 February 2019, Brandenburg, Treuenbrietzen: On a wooden polder lie felled pines of a burnt forest near the federal road 102. Several hundred hectares of forest were destroyed by forest fires in the summer of 2018 at Treuenbrietzen. Two days after the outbreak of this huge forest fire southwest of Berlin, hundreds of emergency personnel were still fighting against the flames. Three villages with a total of about 500 people had to be evacuated before the fire. For several weeks now, large parts of the burnt forest have been cleared.
