The animal had previously been taken from its nest by a tree climber and is to be fitted with a transmitter. The red kite center has set itself the goal of stabilizing the red kite population in the state of Saxony-Anhalt. For this purpose, the chicks are ringed and the young birds are equipped with transmitters. Red kites are only found in Europe.
