Stock Photo - 15 March 2023, Saxony, Delitzsch: In the exhibition ""Hourglasses from Three Centuries"" in the Baroque Castle in Delitzsch, a young woman turns an 80-centimeter hourglass made by restorer and collector Lothar Hasselmeyer from Süderheistedt (Schleswig-Holstein). The hourglass, made of two large wine bottles and thousands of one-millimeter-small glass spheres, allows visitors to hear the passing of time. The hourglass is one of about 300 exhibits from his collection and loans that document the history and development of the world-famous invention up to the present day. On display are historic hourglasses from 1690 to hourglasses for seafaring, household, promotional items, and the smallest hourglass with a running time of less than two seconds. The exhibition will be on display from March 19 until June 11, 2023. Photo: Waltraud Grubitzsch/dpa. - Delitzsch/Saxony/Germany
