Stock Photo - 15 March 2023, Saxony, Delitzsch: In the exhibition ""Hourglasses from Three Centuries"" in the Baroque Palace in Delitzsch, restorer and collector Lothar Hasselmeyer from Süderheistedt (Schleswig-Holstein) holds in his hand a half-hour glass for seafaring around 1800. The special exhibition with around 300 exhibits from his collection and loans documents the history and development of the world-famous invention up to the present day. On display are historical hourglasses from 1690 to hourglasses for seafaring, households, promotional items and the smallest hourglass with a running time of less than two seconds.
