Stock Photo - 15 March 2023, Saxony, Delitzsch: Restorer and collector Lothar Hasselmeyer from Süderheistedt (Schleswig-Holstein) stands by an hourglass from around 1720 in the Baroque palace in Delitzsch in northern Saxony, with a back board on which a dial for hours (above) and a calendar sheet (below) are mounted. In a special exhibition ""Hourglasses from Three Centuries"", he shows the history and development of the world-famous invention up to the present day with about 300 exhibits from his collection and loans. On display are historical hourglasses from 1690 to hourglasses for seafaring, households, promotional items and the smallest hourglass with a running time of less than two seconds.
