The Mele Biogas plant, which currently consists of six storage tanks, will be expanded to double its capacity by fall 2023. According to the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania State Association for Renewable Energy, an energy volume of more than 100 million kilowatt hours per year will be produced here and also fed into the natural gas grid.
