In the cathedral, starting on Thursday, the theme is ""Otto the Great, Saint Laurentius and the founding of the diocese of Merseburg - searching for traces in Merseburg's imperial cathedral"". Using documents and manuscripts from the cathedral archives and library, Otto I's special relationship with Merseburg will be illustrated.
