Stock Photo - 16 October 2020, Brandenburg, Wriezen/Ot Frankenfelde: The church of the village and residential houses can be seen behind a field. The village in the district of Märkisch-Oderland is located in Märkische Schweiz, a nature park of about 200 square kilometres. The church, which was restored about 20 years ago, is a landmark of Frankenfelde that can be seen from far away. The place was first mentioned at about the same time as other villages in 1375, when Emperor Karl IV had the villages of the region recorded in the land register. The Protestant fieldstone church dates back to the 13th century and was only extended four hundred years later with the western tower.
